Perttu Inkilä, is a Director and DoP, who has garnered international recognition with his short films screened at nearly a hundred festivals worldwide, earning numerous awards.
Inkilä is driven by the idea of giving a thought a form and rhythm. At the core of his filmmaking philosophy is a profound fascination with light. He approaches his craft focusing on the subconscious impact that light, movement, rhythm, and color have on viewers, rather than informative storytelling. His work often incorporates elements of experimental media arts, reflecting his constant drive to innovate and create unique visual experiences.
With an avant-garde mentality, Inkilä continually challenges himself to keep his artistic approach fresh and evolving from one project to the next. This commitment to innovation is evident in his diverse portfolio, which includes over 40 music videos that he shot or directed.
Inkilä's expertise extends beyond on-set work. Having worked extensively in post-production, he possesses a comprehensive understanding of the entire filmmaking process, from color grading and CGI compositing to music production. This holistic knowledge base allows him to approach each project with a deep understanding of artistic options.
He graduated with a BA from Helsinki Metropolia University of Applied Sciences. He is currently finishing his MA in Documentary film in the Aalto university.
